DESCRIPTION
Finned tube heat exchanger is one of the earliest and most successful discoveries in the process of improving tube heat exchange. This method is still the most widely used among all the various methods for enhancing heat transfer on tubular heat transfer surfaces. It is not only suitable for single finned tube heat exchangers, but also widely used in power, chemical, petrochemical, air conditioning, and refrigeration engineering.
The basic heat transfer component of a finned tube heat exchanger is a combination of finned tubes, base tubes, and fins. The base tube is usually a circular tube, but there are also elliptical tubes and flat tubes.
The surface structures of fins include flat wings, intermittent wings, corrugated wings, and perforated wings. Among them, the latter two are high-efficiency heat exchange plate types.
